What’s Wrong with California’s Legal System? Well, a Lot
As we told you last December, California is the nation’s number one Judicial Hellhole. You might wonder – what factors make California’s legal climate so bad? Well, a lot.
For one, trial lawyers have been exploiting California’s Proposition 65, which requires cancer warning labels to be posted at businesses. If signs aren’t properly posted, opportunist lawyers demand out of court settlements without giving business owners a chance to comply. Similarly, California trial lawyers have abused the Americans with Disabilities Act, suing businesses for extremely minor violations.
Another Class Action…
Have you heard about the latest high profile class action lawsuit? On February 26, two California residents and their attorneys decided to sue Anheuser-Busch, claiming that the company waters down its beers, leaving their actual alcohol content below the advertised five percent. The lawsuit targets brands like Budweiser, Michelob and Natural Ice.

Subway may soon have to change its slogan from “Eat Fresh” to “Sue Fresh.”
Lawsuits claiming Subway’s famous “footlong” sandwiches are not always a whole foot long have been filed in New Jersey and Chicago. The Chicago lawsuit alleges a “pattern of fraudulent, deceptive and otherwise improper advertising, sales and marketing practices.”
